The New Emotional Trailer for ‘I Am Heath Ledger’ Has Been Released

Scheduled to premiere at the Tribeca film festival on 23rd April and then nationwide at select theatres May 3rd, a trailer for I am Heath Ledger has been released.

The Australian actor most famous for his roles in Brokeback Mountain, A Knight’s Tale and The Dark Knight sadly died in 2008 aged 28. The documentary will feature never-before-seen footage of the late actor as well as interviews with his family, close friends and filmmakers such as Matt Amato and Ang Lee (director of Brokeback Mountain).

“Even as the supporting actor, he will steal the whole show. That’s the power of Heath Ledger,” says Lee in the trailer.

The release of the documentary is in time before it’s put before an exhibition about Ledger’s life at the Western Australian Museum in late 2017.

This documentary has been made in collaboration with Spike TV as the latest documentary in their growing in fame I Am series. This documentary follows similar ones about JFK and Chris Farley, however, the Ledger trailer alone has seen the biggest reaction to date after only being released yesterday.
