We’ve all been there, hours into a Netflix binge-watching session and you’re watching the opening credits for what feels like the millionth time because you can’t quite bring yourself to attempt to fast-forward past them.
Everyone enjoys a quick sing-along to the Friends theme song or rapping along with The Fresh Prince – but after 2 or 3 “so no one told you life was gonna be this way”‘s and “you’re movin’ with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air”‘s, we’ve had enough and just want to seamlessly transition from one episode to the next.
Netflix have answered our prayers and are testing out a ‘skip intro’ feature on certain TV shows. Available for most subscribers, we are now able to skip the opening credits of shows including House of Cards, Iron Fist, Stranger Things, Friends and several others.
The first spot of this exciting revelation was mentioned on Reddit. Whilst this remains in its testing phase, it’s only available on the web, but of course if successful will be rolled out to the streaming service’s various app platforms.
