Several Celebs Give Their Support to the Children Caught up in the Syrian Conflict

Tuesday 14th March, marked the day that the Syrian War entered its seventh year. The war that still has no real end in sight began as protests for change on the streets, but fast became a multi-national battle with the mortality count in the hundreds of thousands.

War Child UK, an organisation and charity who aim to help children affected by conflicted have enlisted the help of several celebrities to promote their latest ‘Enough is Enough’ campaign, in the hope to spread awareness and support.

The campaign video includes Jude Law, Nicole Scherzinger, Carey Mulligan, Michael McIntyre, Marcus Mumford (Mumford and Sons), Sam Smith and James Bay. Set to emotive music, and chlling black and white, the celebrities tell the story of 17-year-old Syrian, Fatima in the first person. The story is told of how Fatima and her family fled the Syrian warzone to Jordan and about the revelation of her sibling’s death.

The video’s release coincides with the launch of War Child UK’s report titled ‘Six Year on – A War on Syria’s Children’, which details the deaths of more than 400,000 people, 55,000 of which being children.

Today Coldplay, Florench Welch, Nicole Scherzinger, Sam Smith and others have shown their support for the campaign on Twitter.
