The Ad Council have extended their Love Has No Labels campaign to include a beautiful “Fans of Love” video encouraging watchers to “rethink bias”. By teaming up with the NFL the campaign utilises the iconic Kiss Cam to display heart-warming moments of love between couples, friends and families.
Instead of focusing on traditional male/female couples the camera readjusts and invites the crowd, and yourself, to celebrate love at different ages, different sexualities, different races, different religions, and different abilities. The wider Love Has No Labels campaign promotes that ‘before anything else, we are all human’, which is a strong message and important reminder as the world goes through a lot of change this year.
The video coincided with Valentine’s Day, and the public service ad was filmed live at the NFL Pro Bowl in Orlando in January. Featured in the video are a survivor of the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting and her girlfriend, as well as two Special Olympians displaying their friendship on the Kiss Cam.
Let’s hope this accepting and diverse attitude can last well past Valentine’s day.
